VoiceSignal VSuite 2.1 turns your voice into a dialing keypad, and an intelligent one at that. If you are driving down the road or walking down the street, you want to be able to dial numbers and even use applications on your S60 device without having to take your eyes off your surroundings. You also want the voice recognition software to reliably understand what you want under nearly any conditions, and you want it to understand you without your having to spend a lot of time training the software.
The set of branded comic content available varies according to which operator is being used. The service is currently available through eight operators in the United States. International titles are also available, as the GoComics Daily software has been localized for English, French and Spanish. GoComics Daily is available for a broad range of mobile devices, including more than 20 Series 40 and S60 devices. Pricing on the service varies from $1.99/month to $2.99/month, depending upon the carrier.
VSuite 2.1 fulfills these desires with solid, speaker-independent voice recognition that requires no training. You can call up to 3,000 people in your contact list just by saying the command, “Call,” plus the person's name. If that person has multiple phone numbers (such as home, office, or mobile), a pop-up screen allows you to select which one to call. Or you can verbally resolve the choice by saying it, such as “Call Graham Trimmer at home.” The speech recognition software ignores additional natural language, such as the word “at.,” A digit-dialing option allows you to speak the digits of a phone number that is not in your contact list. VSuite 2.1 can also be used to open and manipulate applications on your S60 device. In particular, it allows you to browse for content verbally, making it easier to navigate through the menu structures of various online storefronts and Web sites to find the particular content that you want. VSuite 2.1 is available in 21 languages, including most European languages, plus Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
